Niki Glen

Dr Glen is an engineer by training with a deep passion to bring about change and empower people. Niki has developed and implemented sustainable tourism models, strategies and plans for southern African towns and communities. She is recognized within the tourism industry as a leader in research and programme development and for her ability to stimulate collaboration amongst tourism stakeholders. She is currently also a Research Fellow at Rhodes University.

Patricia Rwasoka-Masanganise

Senior Agricultural Development Specialist

Patricia is an Agricultural Economist and Development Specialist with 30 years of practical and extensive experience working in sub-Saharan Africa with governments, bilateral and multilateral organisations and non-governmental development organizations on various socio-economic developmental issues. Her experience and competencies in programming spans across agriculture development, enterprise development and agribusiness linkages, food and nutrition security, private sector engagement, evidence based public policy making, improving land tenure security, grants management, partnership development and management and market systems and value chain development for wealth creation and economic growth. She is highly skilled in programme/project design, planning and management of development interventions, performance management, including results-oriented monitoring and reporting. Also has excellent leadership, facilitation and communication skills with abilities to lead teams to ensure effective inter-thematic coordination and collaborative team - work.
Patricia is the Agriculture Development/Agribusiness Component Lead in the Ecosystem Development for Small Enterprise (EDSE) Programme.

Nigel Gwynne-Evans

Team Leader for the EDSE Programme

Nigel is an SMME and regional development expert with 30 years experience in the public sector, research and development organisations. As team leader for the EDSE Programme, he is focused on supporting a high impact team that is facilitating and driving change across the small business ecosystem in South Africa.

He was formally Chief Director for African Industrial Development at the DTI and was actively involved in the regional integration and development agenda, managing a research programme into regional value-chains, pursuing investment opportunities across the continent and involved in the regional industrialization strategy. He also headed up the agri-processing division at the dti and initiated work on the 4th Industrial Revolution.
