‘Boo for the Bok Bomb Squad’: All Blacks great hits out at SA bench!
Legendary former All Blacks star Sir John Kirwan has taken another swipe at the Springboks ahead of their Rugby Championship showdown with New Zealand.
The Springboks and All Blacks are just days away from an epic showdown at Ellis Park and there has been no shortage of barbs traded back and forth between the two nations.
The Springboks announced their star-studded lineup for this Test on Tuesday, while the All Blacks named their team on Thursday morning.
The Springboks have since changed their team, with the inclusion of Eben Etzebeth on the bench after he overcame an injury scare, while the big talking point from the All Blacks team is the selection of Sam Cane in the starting XV.
Speaking on New Zealand’s most prominent rugby talk show, The Breakdown, a visibly annoyed Kirwan hit out at the strength of South Africa’s bench, saying he is going to boo at the television when the Springboks introduce their substitutes against the All Blacks.
