There are 36 hopefuls still in the running for a place in next month’s Grade 1 R5 million Hollywoodbets Durban July after the second declarations stage was reached on Monday, 3 June.
According to the Sporting Post website, all of the major players are still in the hunt, although this weekend’s Hollywoodbets Grade 1 Gold Challenge, the Grade 3 Cup Trial, and the Grade 3 Jubilee Stakes (Turffontein on Sunday) could see some changes in plans.
The race will take place at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday, 6 July.

The all-important announcement of the final field and barrier draws will be on Tuesday, 25 June.
Only 20 horses will be carded – 18 + 2 reserves. The reserves will be scratched by 08:15 on Friday, 5 July.
Elimination will be at the sole and unfettered discretion of Gold Circle.
